Jo Willett

Jo Willett

Managing Director

Jo was appointed Managing Director of OI in October 2017, having originally joined in November 2000 to open Culham Innovation Centre. Jo has over 20 years’ experience in the operation and management of incubators and innovation centres and has led several feasibility studies undertaking site assessments, developing operating models and has overseen the mobilisation and opening of many of OI’s centres. Jo is a regular speaker at conferences on innovation centre and incubation best practice.

Duncan Quig

Duncan Quig

Commercial Director

Duncan is a Chartered Surveyor with in excess of 20 years of property experience and is a specialist in science park and innovation space. Duncan manages the operation of all of our established centres and is ultimately responsible for performance and contractual matters for those centres. Duncan joined Oxford Innovation in January 2016 having previously worked for property consultancies advising institutions, developers, local authorities and occupiers.

Jon Foster

Finance Director

Jon joined Oxford Innovation in May 2007 as Finance Manager and progressed to Divisional Director of Finance in 2015, where he is responsible for the finance and procurement functions within Oxford Innovation. As well as overseeing the strategic and operational elements of finance and procurement Jon is also an important part of the Business Development team, preparing financial business plans and analysis on behalf of client’s and mobilising new centres.


Geoff Swatridge

Centre Development Director

Geoff joined Oxford Innovation in 2011 to implement and achieve ISO9001 accreditation. As Operations Director since 2013, Geoff has overseen all operational elements of our Centres including the commercial contracts for utilities, telecommunications and internet services. With the significant growth of our portfolio and the importance of mobilising new centres, Geoff now concentrates his knowledge and expertise on supporting clients with the early design input, build project liaison and ensuring the Centre is fully operational.


Kathryn Seys

Kathryn Seys

Head of HR

Kathryn Seys joined SQW Group in February 2007 following the merger between Oxford Innovation and SQW, with a remit to build and manage a professional HR service across the Group. In this role she has developed and manages all aspects of the HR function, with responsibility for recruitment, induction, performance management, training, policies and procedures, reward, TUPE and employee relations. She has also managed several change projects, including the introduction of a flexible benefits package and restructuring programmes.

Gareth Scargill

Gareth Scargill

Commercial Manager /
Regional Manager - North

Gareth has over 15 years’ experience in sales and facilities management across both the leisure and property sectors, seven of which have been with Oxford Innovation.  He is responsible for commercial functions within the innovation centres and acts as Northern Regional Manager. Gareth has a particular interest in the sales and commercial activities of the centres and works closely alongside the Commercial Director in formulating strategies across the business.

Stephen Brownlie

Stephen Brownlie

Regional Manager -
South Coast

Stephen has worked in the Innovation Centre industry since August 2005. After joining OI in 2010 as a Centre Manager, he has developed particular expertise with the South Coast. In 2015 Stephen took on the exciting position of Regional Manager, responsible for four innovation centres in the South Coast. Leveraging strong relationships in both the private and public sector, Stephen provides support and advice to both start-up and established businesses.

Regional Manager -
South East

Kelly joined Oxford Innovation in November 2008 and is responsible for the operation and management of Oxford Innovation’s Centres in the South East region.   She has over 13 years’ experience in the innovation and serviced office sector.  Prior to this, Kelly spent in 11 years sales and marketing working within one of the UK’s largest regional newspaper groups. Kelly is passionate about leading customer focused centres where businesses have the opportunity to grow and prosper with the aid of our unique business support programme.

Elaine McKechnie

Elaine McKechnie

Regional Manager -
South West

Elaine joined Oxford Innovation in 2005 and has held various roles within the company since then. Her broad experience includes heading up the central marketing team for several years, following which Elaine moved to Bristol as Regional Manager for the South West to grow Oxford Innovation’s presence in the region. As part of this role, Elaine leads the team at Future Space – Oxford Innovation’s first centre based on a University campus, run in partnership with the University of the West of England.

Regional Manager -
Oxfordshire

Tom has over 10 years’ experience in sales and has been with Oxford Innovation since 2013. He came to the company as a Centre Manager and after successfully managing two Oxfordshire centres is now Regional Manager for north Oxfordshire. He currently oversees all the centres within north Oxfordshire, as well as assists other centres across the portfolio and works with the Business Development team to develop more Innovation Centres.
